Frederick B. Taylor
President and Co-Founder
Fred, President of Northstar, co-founded Northstar Investment Advisors, LLC in July 1995. Taylor's responsibilities include working with Northstar clients to build portfolios that meet their investment and income objectives.
He began his investment career in 1984 on the municipal bond trading desk at Mabon Nugent in New York City.
Taylor was selected as one of Colorado's Top 20 Wealth Advisors in 2007 by the Denver Business Journal.
He serves as treasurer of The Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation's Board of Trustees and is also chairman of the organization's investment committee. Fred is treasurer for Platform5280 and is also a member of the Denver Public Schools ProComp board. Fred is the past chairman of the investment committees of The Denver Foundation, The Colorado Zoological Trust, The Women's Foundation, Kent Denver School and The Webb Waring Foundation.
From 2008-2010, Fred served as an economic advisor to Colorado Governor Bill Ritter.
He is also a member of the Colorado Forum.
Taylor is a Colorado native and graduated cum laude from Middlebury College in 1984 with a B.A. in history. He lives in Denver with his wife Claudia, and stepdaughter, Isabella. His daughter Caroline works at the Gersh Agency in Hollywood, and his son Moses attends Colorado College.
